Inspired by the topaz cross necklaces owned by Jane Austen & her sister Cassandra, a gift from their younger brother Charles.  Charles, an officer in the Royal Navy, bought the crosses with prize money he received from the capture of an enemy ship.

The original topaz crosses are set in gold, and are part of the extensive collection here at Jane Austen’s House.  Learn more about these beautiful crosses.

This inspired cross necklace is the emerald cut style, an approximate size to Jane Austen and Cassandra’s own, it comes set in silver, on an 18” chain, with champagne quartz stones.

Boxed, the cross measures 35mm in length, by 30mm wide (excluding the ring) Oval cut cross also available.

Shipping is calculated according to weight of goods.
